Rienne Scott

Rienne Scott (author of “Rebel Girl” and “Final Call”) “Speak Poet!”, is what the members of I. S.P.I.T. (Infinite Supply of Passionate & Intense Talent), Lincoln University’s poetry team, shout, as Rienne walks on stage. Rienne started writing at the age of twelve when she discovered it was an outlet to write about the issues that were occurring in her life and in the lives of others close to her. Rienne prides herself on writing honestly about issues and critics would agree as she has won several awards, including first place at 2003 Kodjo Poetry Slam. Rienne was also a member of the 2006 Philly Youth Slam Team and co-coach for the 2007-2009 teams. She went on to also popularize the poetry team at her college. Rienne works to create change through her poetry and is a voice to be heard.
